INSIDE THE PROPERTY
Le Chasseur provides spacious accommodation for 2-8 persons in private and independent accommodation comprising of 3 double (twin) bedrooms (90-200), 1 double bedroom (160-200), 2 bathrooms and 2 separate toilets.
The house is approached around the property from the east side entering through gates into your own private courtyard with parking outside or in one of the barns. The courtyard on the south side of the building has a private terrace and outside table and chairs. It is completely private and screened from the part of the property occupied by the owners with a wall and fence.

Our experience after quite some time of renting out our accommodations for a long term period is that living at Maziéras is best suited for people having partially or completely finished their active live and want to start a much calmer live in France surrounded by people with the same age and motives.

Outside Amenities: In addition to Maziéras being an area of outstanding beauty, there are more than 600 km of marked trails of varying lengths to be explored either on foot or on horseback. Local maps are available to show the way to visitors.
From the house you have a beautiful view of the valley of river la Crempse. The livery yard of Mazieras has ten luxurious stables, a manege and round-pen plus wide fields. Horses are trained daily by professional trainer Lindsay Lonsdale (S.E). To see these horses, grazing in the meadows around the main building, bring an extra dimension to the beautiful picture called Maziéras.
Maziéras can offer long-term tenants accommodation for their own horses.
Surrounding Area: Activities: The area is both wooded and with open fields to enjoy long walks, bike rides or for riders with some experience.
You may encounter deer especially in the twilight when these animals come to the Crempse to drink.
In the summer on your walks, you can pick blackberries, figs, hazelnuts, apples and pears.
Outside of the Domaine, you can visit nearby Château de Montréal or the many other castles in the area, also markets, brocantes and antique fairs.
There are canoe trips on the Dordogne, boat hire, golf, museums, a zoo, a theme park, canoeing, pedal-boats, gardens, wine tasting and local product tasting.
Local restaurants are of a very high standard, serving perigourdine food and wine.
Surroundings: The Domaine is situated just outside of Issac with post office, bar/cafe, restaurant and bakery.
A 10 minute drive away is the market town of Mussidan with shopping, supermarkets, tourist office, restaurants, banks etc.
The farm is situated between Bergerac on the River Dordogne and the River Isle to the north. The Isle Valley has been inhabited since prehistoric times and traces have been found of cave paintings near Sourzac as well as dolmens and standing stones.
The Normans are reputed to have sailed up the Isle and ransacked the valley in the 9th century.
To the north of the Isle lies the 50,000 hectare forest of La Double, a haven for wild life and with a large lake at Le Jemaye which has an artificial beach, water sports, nature trails, children’s play area, picnic tables, snack bar and restaurant and is truly worth a day out.
To the south lies Bergerac with its medieval town centre and charming timber framed stone houses, quaint alleys and old squares. Here you can take a boat trip on a traditional flat bottomed Gabare from the ancient port on the banks of the Dordogne, take the little train on a guided tour of the town or simply enjoy lunch and a stroll about.
Perigueux is also a 30 minute drive. A town in the same medieval style with a beautiful cathedral, shops and many outside restaurants for lunch and dinner in the summer.
